ANDIE THE GREAT Trailer and Release Date Announcement

ANDIE THE GREAT Arrives On VOD and Digital April 27, 2021

Written and directed by David Laurence and Josh Romyn this coming-of-age drama comedy looks like it is getting ready to be a big success.

Andie The Great picks up the day Andie moves back in with her parents. Her mother, an over-baring talk therapist instantly starts pushing her to figure out her life plan, while her has-been play-write father takes a more free-spirited approach.

With no job, and limited day-drinking privileges, Andie’s year at home is not without drama. Outwardly, she’s totally confused about her life’s purpose, so she turns her attention to unsuccessfully helping others find theirs; pressuring an old high school teacher to come out of the closet, teaching her little brother about feminism, and getting fired from just about every job she tries her hand at.

Although circumstantially not much changes for Andie, she comes more into her own over these months, and is more okay with where she’s at in life.

A colorful and very real coming of age dramedy with the witty and loveable Andie at its core, played by award-winning Canadian actor, Matreya Scarrwener. A Vancouver local and a rising star, Matreya’s credits include series regular roles on Imaginary Mary, Ties That Bind, and Strange Empire. In 2018, she played a principle role across from Johnny Depp in The Professor. She also recently played the lead role opposite Shannen Doherty in the remake of the movie No One Would Tell.
