Conan on TBS Final Episode Set for June

Conan has been a staple on TBS since 2010, but will finally end this June as host Conan O’Brien moves on to new projects. The channel revealed that the Conan on TBS final episode will air on June 24, 2021. This will allow host O’Brien to focus on his new HBO Max show, which is currently in development with WarnerMedia and is a “departure from his current traditional talk-show format.”

TBS promises that the final weeks of Conan will feature “a lineup of special guests” that will celebrate the show’s history. The Conan on TBS final episode itself will also be an hour-long episode (the show switched to 30-minute episodes in 2019), which will include “a look back on the past 11 years of this iteration of O’Brien’s lengthy late-night career.” No guests have been confirmed just yet.

O’Brien previously hosted Late Night on NBC before having a short stint as The Tonight Show host. After O’Brien was controversially replaced by Jay Leno (who he had taken over for), he found a new home at TBS. O’Brien has hosted three late-night talk shows for 28 years, which has seen him and his staff win four Emmy Awards and six Writers Guild Awards.

Along with his upcoming HBO Max show, O’Brien will focus on running his production company, Conaco and his digital brand Team Coco. This includes his popular podcast Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend, which has aired since 2018.
