Friends — the gift that keeps on giving!
Since HBO’s Friends: The Reunion special aired last week, stars and fans alike have been in a sentimental stupor after seeing the cast reunite for the first time in 17 years,
David Schwimmer, who played Ross on the hit series, is enjoying his walk down memory lane, sharing a series of previously unseen behind-the-scenes shots of both Friends: The Reunion (also known as ‘The One Where They Get Back Together’) and the original series to his Instagram in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Opening with a shot of the case speaking over Zoom, Schwimmer, 54, teased at even more behind-the-scenes peeks to come, writing “Reunion Snaps Part One”.
Schwimmer captions the first of the six shots, “Cast zoom, planning the reunion”, which features fellow castmates Jennifer Anniston and Courtney Cox together in one Zoom profile, with Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc laughing in their own Zoom windows.
Schwimmer can be seen giggling in front of an image of LeBlanc, which was being used as his background.
Schwimmer then posted a photo of co-creators and executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane.
“Where it all started!” he wrote.
“Forever grateful to Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman & David Crane… 🙏🏼❤️”
The third image is a selfie of Schwimmer on-set of the reunion special, which precedes a throwback snap of the original cast prior to filming the final episode.

“Cast huddle, final episode, 2004,” he wrote.
In a bittersweet tribute to how far they have come, Schwimmer then posted a photo of the cast huddled together when they were filming the reunion special in 2021.
“Cast huddle, Reunion Special, 2021,” he wrote.
Schwimmer finished off his series with a shot of himself and director Jim Burrows.
“Director Jim Burrows. Legend,” Schwimmer wrote.
“and me with a LOT of makeup,” he added.
Schwimmer ended his post by thanking HBO for “bringing us back together…”
The Madagascar star wasn’t the only cast member who has been feeling sentimental about the reunion.
Anniston, who played Rachel, recently opened up about how filming the special “was a sucker punch in the heart”.
