Do you ever lie in bed at night thinking of all the ways you’ve embarrassed yourself?
Well Emma Stone does too. And as an A-list movie star, the stakes of her faux pas are a little higher than most.
The 32-year-old appeared on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, discussing her first Oscar win in 2017 for La La Land and revealing why she’s convinced Leonardo DiCaprio may think she’s a little strange after he presented her with the illustrious award.
When asked what her favourite memory was from that night, the Cruella actress had one answer — meeting her childhood crush, DiCaprio.
“I’d seen Titanic seven and a half times in theatres,” she told Cagle. “He was the love of my life. I had a picture of him in my bedroom that was signed, that I had gotten for my birthday when I was like 12 years old and I was walking to Leo. I was like, this is officially the most surreal moment of my life. I could not believe it.”
However, Stone admits she may have been a bit overfamiliar with the star, and he may think she’s strange because of it.
“I think he probably thinks I’m like a little weird, cause whenever I see him, I’m kind of like, ‘Hey, how’s it going?'” she laughed. “You know, just in little moments when you’re at the same event or something. He’s very sweet though.”
Although having an out-of-body experience meeting her one true love, Stone said she admires the 46-year-old and has followed his career closely.
“As an actor, I think he’s fantastic,” she said. “He’s stuck in my head as Jack Dawson. He just always will be.”
