Earlier this month, Netflix announced the news that our fav Regency drama will return for both season 3 and season 4 which might just be the most joyous news ever. It was revealed via a Lady Whistledown memo dropped on social media which read: “Esteemed members of the Ton, it seems we have rather a special announcement. Bridgerton shall return for seasons three and four. This author shall have to purchase more ink. Yours Truly, Lady Whistledown.”
While, of course, there isn’t heaps of details on what’s to come for the next few seasons, the series is based on Julia Quinn’s novels so we can predict a few storylines that are likely to be heading away (don’t worry, we won’t be dropping any major spoilers here).
From the books, we know Season 3 will be Benedict’s Bridgerton’s story, the second eldest son, while Season 4 will revolve around Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, something that was beginning to be teased in Season 1.
So, without further adieu, here’s everything we know about Bridgerton Season 4 so far…
What is the Bridgerton season 4 plot?
While we don’t have seasons 2 or 3 to go by yet, we know from Bridgerton season 1 that Colin and Penelope’s relationship hadn’t yet turned into anything romantic and the pair were last seen saying their goodbyes as Colin embarked on his travels. Penelope hadn’t yet declared her affection for him and this is likely to be picked up in season 4 when, according to Quinn’s novels, Colin returns to London and both make revelations about each other. Duh, duh, duhhh.
Tell me about the Bridgerton season 4 cast?
Unfortunately, while we are sure there will be some new faces to the social scene, we don’t have any details of the confirmed cast aside from the fact that Nicola Coughlan will be resuming her role as Penelope and Luke Newton as Colin.
Is there a Bridgerton season 4 trailer and release date?
While Bridgertons season has only recently begun filming, it’s fair to say we will have to be a bit more patient for a release date and trailer for season 4.
