“Film Fest” is and indie comedy about struggling filmmakers traveling to an obscure festival to sell their film.
Sometimes a movie comes along that simply captures your imagination. Film Fest is certainly one of those. I have a feeling I am not the only one who can relate to this. I think the vast majority of people who read this website will have experienced a film festival in some shape or form so will know exactly where I am coming from.
Director Marshall Cook who also shared writing credits with Paul Alan Cope looks to have done an excellent job with this film. The The Hollywilde International Film Festival of Cinema takes shots at pretty much every film festival you can think of. Film Fest had its premiere at the Austin Film Festival (2020).
This will be essential viewing for any film student out there. Can you think of any other film that captures the spirit of indie filmmaking this well?
