Garcelle Beauvais Talks RHOBH Off-Camera Drama, Fan Reaction

Garcelle Beauvais Admits She's "Scared" of Fans' Reaction to RHOBH Season 12, Talks Off-Camera Drama, and Sheree Zampino's "Refreshing" Addition

Garcelle Beauvais is worried about how fans are going to respond to the upcoming episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12.

During an appearance earlier this week, Garcelle, 55, said that while the support she’s received from viewers has been great, she fears that the new season could bring changes.

“I’m scared,” Garcelle admitted on the E! Network’s The Daily Pop on May 31. “To be honest, you never know. I think this season, it’s a roller coaster ride. I think we’re gonna have a lot of episodes so there’s a lot for everybody, and everybody’s tested throughout.”

In addition to being “tested” during the season, Garcelle has also been tested off the show as she’s faced drama with her RHOBH cast mates, namely Erika Jayne, who threw her recently released memoir, Love Me As I Am, in the trash, and Lisa Rinna, who she has lingering tensions with.

“Off the show’s been a lot. A lot’s happened,” Garcelle noted. “Normally, we let it play out, and then we get to the reunion, but I feel there’s another show outside of the show happening… It started with my book being thrown in the trash and then people doing their IG Stories. There’s a lot going on.”

While fans will have to wait to see what “roller coaster ride” Garcelle is referring to, they will soon get to know more about her longtime friend Sheree Zampino, who is now starring on RHOBH as a “friend.”

“I threw her in. It is Housewives. But Sheree is a really good friend of mine and she really holds her own in life, but I think she was surprised when she got on the show because every 15 minutes, she’d be like, ‘What the hell… What’d you get me into?’ But I think she’s refreshing,” Garcelle said of her addition.

Also on the show, host Justin Anderson, a close friend of Kyle Richards, confirmed it was he who originally referred Garcelle to RHOBH.

“He said to me, ‘I heard they’re bringing somebody in. Would you ever throw your hat in the ring?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know,’ and he’s like, ‘No, no, no. You should.’ It really did start with [Justin],” Garcelle confirmed.

According to Justin, he sent Garcelle’s name to the series’s executive producer, and six months later, she was cast.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
