“Hacks,” “Die Hart” Renewed For Season 2

HBO Max has renewed its critically-acclaimed original comedy series “Hacks” for a second season. The renewal comes ahead of the first season finale on June 10th.

A top performer since its debut, the story explores a dark mentorship that forms between Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and an entitled, outcast 25-year-old (Hannah Einbinder).

Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Kaitlin Olson, Christopher McDonald, Paul W. Downs, Mark Indelicato, Poppy Liu, Johnny Sibilly, Meg Stalter, and Rose Abdoo co-star in the series which hails from Universal Television.

Also today, Kevin Hart’s comedy-action series “Die Hart” has been picked up for a second season.

Debuting as a Quibi original last year, the new season titled “Die Harter” will now be a Roku Original and marks the first Quibi series to score a renewal following the sale of its library to Roku.

Hart will return as the star of the show and continue to executive produce it, but it’s unknown if any of the supporting cast like John Travolta, Nathalie Emmanuel, Josh Hartnett, and Jean Reno will return.
