Now that the teenager is in college, studying at NYU, she is still only a phone call away.

While chatting with HollywoodLife on their TV Talk, Riley dished that ‘When it comes to life, she knows pretty much anything. I call her to ask her for help with anything and she is always down to help. I definitely think that she is the best teacher because she has many different experiences.’

Seeing how successful and happy her mom is in her field has even made Riley reconsider her path in life.

‘I initially went to NYU to study nutrition. But I switched my major to music business recently because I want to be an entertainment lawyer so I felt like that just matched up better for my music career. I feel like growing up with mom as my mother and seeing her do music stuff with her career really inspired me. It is like I am learning again at NYU. I feel like I know a lot of stuff from my mom.’

Riley also mentioned that she could use her degree to help Kandi in the future but at the same time, she does not see herself mixing family and business too much.

‘I’d want to be more of an advisor to her so we did not have to mix too much family with business and worry about that.’
