Nothing is ever final in the Fast and Furious franchise. Even with death. With Sung Kang’s Han once again returning to F9: The Fast Saga, no one is ever sure or confident on what surprises these series of movies will throw at the audiences.
Here’s the official synopsis of F9: The Fast Saga:
Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) thought he’d left his outlaw life in the rear-view mirror, but not even he can outrun the past. When his forsaken brother Jakob (John Cena) unexpectedly resurfaces as an elite assassin, the crew comes back together to help Dom confront the sins of his own past and stop a world-shattering plot.
Franchise veteran Justin Lin returns to the director’s seat for F9 from the screenplay written by Daniel Casey and Lin. The rest of the cast includes Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Finn Cole, Sung Kang, Anna Sawai, Helen Mirren, and Kurt Russell.
LRM Online’s Gig Patta sat down with actor Sung Kang at the F9 Fest fan event at the backlot of Universal Pictures. We talked about his triumphant return, stunts, and is a permanent part of the Fast and Furious family.
Sung Kang made his feature film acting debut in the hero action comedy Mystery Men in 1999. He appeared in numerous films in small roles such as Pearl Harbor, Better Luck Tomorrow, and Antwone Fisher. In 2006, his career took off with The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Eventually, the experience led to four more films in the franchise. Other films he ended starring also included Ninja Assassin, Bullet to the Head, Ana Maria in Novela Land, Code 8, and voicing in Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon.
F9 is available with two versions of the movie with the theatrical cut and the extended director’s cut. There is more all-new bonus content.
It is available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and digitally today.
